Philosophic Murals
A series of murals line the inside of the cloistered walkway of Uhuburg, depicting how humankind has tried to understand life throughout the ages. The murals summarize key ideologies, stories, and applications of various philosophies and religions. The project is ongoing to include approximately 30 murals within the next few years.
The Mural Project
The most recent additions of the eight murals currently part of the project are Native North American and Hinduism, both of which were completed by the end of 2023. When a mural is in the works, the artists can occasionally be seen painting during Day Visit public hours. The mural exhibit is a collective work in progress that will continue over the next few years to eventually include around thirty murals. Murals currently in the research stage include French Polynesian theologies, Christianity and Buddhism.

Informational signs accompany each mural and key features of the murals are part of the guided tour offered during Day Visits.
